We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how YIVIDIA ("the app") handles your information. Our core principles: local-first, minimal collection, no misuse.
1. What we do not collect
- We do not upload your local knowledge-base files or vector index to our servers.
- We do not save your meeting recordings by default; speech recognition is used for live transcription and is not persisted unless you turn on history.
- We do not collect your contacts, location, browsing history, or other unrelated information.
2. Data processed locally
File parsing, text chunking, vector indexing, and retrieval all happen on your own device and are stored in the app's local support directory. If you configure your own third-party API key, it is stored in the operating system's secure keychain and is never stored in plaintext or uploaded.
3. When you use cloud AI
When you use a YIVIDIA cloud account, the app sends the necessary text snippets and the detected question to our service to generate an answer. Our service is currently hosted on servers located in mainland China (yice.yividia.com) and proxies the request to upstream AI models. We only log metadata used for billing and abuse prevention (request type, model, timestamp, credits used, status); we do not sell your data. If you switch to your own third-party API key, requests go directly to the provider you configured and do not pass through us.
4. Account information
YIVIDIA uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. When you sign in, we store the user identifier Apple provides — and the email address you choose to share — solely for login and subscription management. We do not collect a password. Payment is processed by the Apple App Store; we never have access to your card or payment credentials.
5. Permissions
The app may request microphone, speech recognition, and screen-recording (used to capture meeting system audio) permissions. Every permission is used only for its corresponding feature and only after you explicitly grant it.
6. Data deletion
Local data can be cleared by deleting the app or its support directory. To delete your cloud account and associated data, contact us at the email below and we will process the request after verification.
7. Children
YIVIDIA is intended for general/professional use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
